Sometimes a room needs a little finishing touch to complete the look. For our client, this was a wasted area next to a drinks cabinet. To declutter some cupboard space, the idea of a wine rack seemed perfect, however with sockets and wifi boosting points behind which needed to be accessible, this idea seemed unrealistic.

We came up with a solution by installing heavy duty castors to the bottom of the unit. With a fixed top hovering slightly above the unit, you are able to simply wheel the wine rack out if needed and push back into place.

Due to the unit being on display and not closed off behind doors, we opted for real oak veneer for the carcass with solid oak slats forming supports for the wine bottles. This was all sealed with a two part oil to enhance the natural grain and add a layer of protection.
